I did a advert on the samsung galaxy S5 and after it was finished i held a focus group to see what people thought of the advert, during the focus group i gathered some information and i will be talking about it in this blog, the main target audience for this particular advert was those who are 7 and over because kids around that age usually have phones like that so we would also like it to show the parents of those children that this phone would be suitbale for them to use and the whole idea of this advert was to try and add a bit of humour into it which would have made it memorable which would have meant that it would always trigger something when they see someone fall or see the phone which could encourage them to buy the product.
after i had finished with the advert i had held a focus group to talk to an audince to get their feedback about how they felt about the advert to see if they had improvements that they would make to it and why, the questions that i asked them was things like "do you like this advert and why?", i did this because if they did then they would say why then i could keep those parts in the advert if i choose to edit it more and for the parts that they didn't like i could change for something else.
When i had presented the work to the focus group they said that they liked some aspects of the advert and would change other things, one thing that some poeple said that they wouold have liked to change was the music but others said that they liked the music and i also think that i could have asked a few different different questions that could have been a bit more involved with the advert.
in my opinion of the advert, i think that some of the more succeful parts of the advert was the humour side of it, i know this because i aksed the focus group if they saw the humour side of the advert and they all said that they did but a improvement would be that i would place a voice over into the advert so that it explains what features i am trying to highlight in the advert and i agree with certain things that the focus group but the pats i dont agree with is when some of the other members of the focus group agreed with the point i was making when others didn't, for example, i think that the music suits the advert but others didn't think that it did.
i think that technically the advert was good because we made sure that the cemra was always stright when we was filming it and that it was connected to a tripod for the majority of the shots so that the camera was always steady and i also think that the product was clear towards the end because we made sure that the phone was shwed but until the phone was showed then it wasn't really clear what the advert was about and from the evidence of the focus group, the majority of poeple said that looking at the advert and the features that we highlighted it made them want to go out and buy the phone and from the feedback of the focus group i think that the advert was good but could do with improvemnets to make sure that it gets better.
in conclusion i am happy with what we have made but i think that there could be a few things that we could make so that the advert gets better so i think that i am happy with the advert as 80% of the feedback that was given to me was positive so if i made the chnges i think that it would be higher than that.
